LVBR RECRUITING UPDATES

Recruiting Updates  2/3/14

Penn State is picking up their efforts on the LVBR #1 prospect.  They entertained Abdur Rahkman during their win over Purdue and are expected to come see a game in the very near future. 

Northeastern's Head Coach Bill Coen and Associate Coach David McLaughlin were in attendance to watch Central demolish Dieruff, and both were very impressed. 

St Joe's Assistant Coach Geoff Arnold was at Rockne Hall to watch Central romp Freedom.  Arnold has been to a game every year of Rahkman's Central career but stated he was very impressed with #1's "improved" athleticism.

Temple continues to call and follow Muhammad Ali's progress. 


Robert Morris Assistant Joe Gallo came to see the battle between Central Catholic and Parkland.  Robert Morris have obvious interest in Muhammad Ali, but also wanted to see the improvements of Brendan Wagner.  Gallo was very impressed with the many young talents on display.  He jotted notes on Isiah Jennings, Sam Iorio and Kyle Stout. 

Campbell Assistant Coach Chris Clark placed a call to the LVBR to check in on Central Catholic's Jeanlee Beaz and Isiah Jennings.  Clark is a Philadelphia native and was actively recruiting Baez while at St Francis (PA).  Clark stated he loves Baez's toughness and liked Jennings during the summer. He hopes to make the journey up north in near future. 

 

Kyle Griffin was at Central's Rockne Hall to see 2016 Isiah "BabyZay" Jennings compete vs Freedom.

Lehigh also hosted Jennings, Andrew Hudak, Joey Polczynski, Kyle Stout, and Sam Iorio for their matchup with rival Lafayette.

Caldwell Assistant Coach Joe Scott came to the Valley to check out Jeanlee Baez, David Williams, Justin Zajko and Nick Rindock.  Unfortantely Rindock was injured very early in the contest so Scott could not make a true evaluation. 

Bloomsburg Assistant Coach Brad Karli came to see Central's Jeanlee Baez, Brendan Wagner, and Parkland's Justin Zajko during their matchup last week.  Zajko is expected on Bloomsburg campus this upcoming Saturday.  Bloomsburg also have interest in Nate Feiertag (Emmaus) and David Williams (Freedom).

Lock Haven's Brian Oleksiak is hoping to continue their connection with District 11.  Lock Haven is the home of starting pg Al Blount Jr.(Bethlehem Catholic) and reserve guard David Garcia(Pocono Mt East).  Coach O came to see the battle between David Williams and Jeanlee Baez.

1/16/14  Recruiting Updates

2014 Muhammad Ali Abdur Rahkman is taking his time with the recruiting process. Drexel and Richmond have been at several games this year.  Temple and George Mason are frequently contacting about the 3 time all state player.

Lehigh Head Coach Brett Reed was joined by his assistant Kyle Griffin at Parkland High School.  Lehigh was checking out 2017 players Sam Iorio (Parkland), Matt and Dave Kachelries (Emmaus).

Whitehall Legend and current UMBC assistant, Jay Greene, has been on hot pursuit for 2016 Isiah BabyZay Jennings.  Greene grew fond of Jennings during the July live period.   The Retreivers also hosted Jennings for an early season tilt.  Greene is expected to make the journey back home in the very near future to see the Central Catholic prospect.

The Princeton Tigers hosted several underclassmen for an early season practice.  Kyle Stout, Isiah Jennings, Andrew Hudak and Joey Polczynski were the 2016 prospects. 

Norfolk State, Iona, St Francis PA, Central Connecticut State, Sacred Heart, Wagner, LIU-Brooklyn, and Lasalle have all inquired about 2014 Vincent Eze. Eze went to a LIU-Brooklyn game in December.  Lasalle is interested in the Notre Dame star as a redshirt player. 

East Stroudsburg, Lock Haven, Caldwell, and Kutztown are the top suitors for 2014 Jeanlee Baez.  Bloomsburg and Georgian Court are also sniffing.

2014 Nate Feiertag has visited Bloomsburg University and Head Coach John Sanow came to Nate's game vs Whitehall.  Drexel has also contacted about Nate joining their program as a preferred walk on.

2014 Brendan Wagner has interest from Robert Morris, LIU-Brooklyn and Monmouth at Division 1 level.  D2 Georgian Court also is in hot pursuit. 

 

Kyle Griffin of Lehigh University made the short trip to Bethlehem Catholic to see 2016 6'7 prospect Andrew Hudak. 

Several schools have been in contact with Isiah "BabyZay" Jennings.  Early in the season, Towson visited a Rockne Hall practice and invited BabyZay to a game & visit.  Mike McGarvey of Colgate is also gathering data on the sweetshooting sophomore. 

 

2016 Joey Polczynski (Emmaus) went to Philadelphia Sciences for an unofficial visit.

Drexel hosted several LVBR stars to watch the Dragons defeat St Francis PA.  Andrew Hudak, Cameron Hoffman, Isiah Jennings, Deandre Tillet, and Vincent Eze were all on hand in West Philadelphia. 

Holy Cross Assistant Coach Kevin Driscoll is very interested in 2016 players DeVante Cross and Isiah Jennings.  The former Hamburg sensation is keep close ties to the Valley as they already have 7'0 Matt Husek in their program. 

 

The Rams are very close to offering 2014 Brendan Wagner of Central Catholic.  West Chester also hosted Parkland's Justin Zajko for a visit.

 

Cornell Asst Coach Mike Blaine has started to do his early homework on 2016 prospects Kyle Stout and Andrew Hudak

 

Harvard Asst Coach Yanni Hufnagel is very intrigued by 2017 6'5 Sam Iorio.  The Crimson want to start the process early with the Parkland G.O.A.T and are tracking his every movement.
